We are aware some customers may still be experiencing delays when sending patient communications. This includes patient SMS and repeat requests to surgeries and GPs. As a temporary workaround, the NHSmail team will be manually releasing impacted emails daily. This will allow your emails to be delivered but may cause a delay.
We have been actively engaged with NHS digital throughout the course of this incident and whilst NHS acknowledge an issue exists within their security platform, they are operating within the constraints of their cyber-security policies. Because of the automated nature of these security tools and services, there are occasions when false positives are identified and impacted. NHS Digital continues to work with its supporting security vendors to attempt to resolve this problem as soon as possible. You can track the status of this incident here.
If you’re unable to resolve an NHSmail issue with your local IT team, you can contact the national helpdesk 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at 0333 200 1133 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we are continuing to assist NHS in every way we can, but as this service is provided by NHS Digital, it is beyond the control of RxWeb.
